Name and Place of Business |

(1) |
The Association shall be known as the Persatuan Pakar Ortodontik Malaysia
(Malaysia Association of Orthodontists). |

(2) |
Its registered place of business shall be Woon Orthodontic Clinic, Suite 1206 12() Floor,IGB Plaza,Jalan Kampar(Off Jalan Tun Razak),50400 Kuala lumpur or at such other place or places as may from time to time be decided by the committee; and its
postal address shall be as above. The registered place of the Association shall not be changed without the prior approval of the Registrar of Societies.

(3) |
In the interpretation of this consitution, unless the contrary intention appears:
"Association"refres to the Persatian Pakar Ortodontik Malaysia (Malaysian
Association of Orthodontists).

(4) |
The offcial logo of the Association shall consist of the letters MAO in dark blue
colour on a light blue back ground of the six upper anterior teeth with a straight line
horizontally across the middle od them, bounded by an ovoid blue outline. |

| |
"Orthodontics" shall refre to all aspects coverd within the field of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopaedics including that of cleft lup and palate management,orthognathic surgery, craniomandibular dtsfunction, related material sciences and specialist prectice management. |

2. |
The aimes of this Association shall be:

(i) |
To advance the art and science of orthodontics as a specialty and branch of the dental sciences. |
| |
|
|
| |
(ii) |
To foster and preserve the identity and pratice of orthodontics. |
| |
|
|
| |
(iii) |
To strive for and maintain the highest standars of ethics and professional conduct within the specialty. |
| |
|
|
| |
(iv) |
To encourage education and research in the field of orthodontics and related subjects. |
| |
|
|
| |
(v) |
To disseminate information to the public on aspects of orthodontics with the prior approval of the authorities concerned. |
